In our upcoming project they will be creating an online flyer advertising why someone should visit their assigned eco-region. They will also have to tie in weathering, erosion and deposition. The students will specifically address landforms, climate/weather, rainfall and recreational activities. We looked at examples of the Big Bend Country and saw how erosion affected or even created the canyons from intense rains. They have to research the history of their region as well as find the recreational activities that might draw people there. I am really excited and know that their brains are gonna explode on this. It should be great!!! Stay tuned....
We started our eco-region projects today using www.smore.com. I am very excited after completing our W, E, D lab. The kids did great on it, asking some really tough questions. They asked, "what would happen if", and "I wonder".
