The kids did good. What I am starting to realize is there is a disconnect between creating the model (or whatever project) and then actually knowing what it was that was created. (The actual learning of the product) We talked today in class and the kids saw and heard much of the information that allowed them to see the disconnect.
We had students say "what could've been better".... answers were: actually knowing your information, knowing how to pronounce the words, being able to present the info without reading straight from the notes.
Some "I likes" were: that was creative, that looks really cool, you presented well-without having to 'read' your notes, you put in alot of effort on your model.
Overall I was very pleased and have some great models that could be passed down to some other classes to help teach them about cell models. Wait for the pictures!!
