We grade notebooks every Friday. Today we only needed to grade our bellringers since we spent all week working on our projects. This time they were worth 20 pts since that is all that we did. Every day they come in that is the first thing they are to do-copy down the bellringer and answer it or follow whatever directing it has....
After we did notebooks we drew cards to see who would be presenting. That was new for me. They were all very nervous and some actually were bothered that they did not get to present. That was a different sight to see. We shared about 4-5 each class and it was so helpful. As they were presenting the students were catching their mistakes, seeing what made sense and what didn't. I can't wait to do this again. Many as they were listening were asking if they could work on theirs over the weekend. They kept hearing questions that were asked and finally seeing the importance of the items we were discussing.
After the presentations they were to finish their unit 3 vocab and begin their last vocab foldable. They will be making their own quiz using the unit 3 words. The quizzes are important because we will be using them next week. :)
We are going to do a short project this last week of the 6 weeks. We will be working in groups building an aquifer. They will also have to make a fact sheet to go with the aquifer and they will have to share with the public reasons for 'taking care' of the water supply. It should be good.
As I said next week is the last week of the 6 weeks. Grades need to be taken care of. Any make-up work or late work needs to be turned in.
Let's finish strong!
