We have started genius hour in 7th grade!  What is genius hour?  It is an opportunity for the students to spend time studying something that they are passionate about.  We have projects ranging from civil rights to bullying to star fish and learning new languages.  It was fun today hearing the questions they asked and hearing the wonder in their voice when they were told they would interview people.  Interview?  Yes, interview?  Who do we interview?  That is up to you.  We had students contact the UT band department, Tx A & M Marine Biology, UT philosophy and there were tweets sent out to Mike Tyson, Sharks 4 Kids, Jesse Williams and Ted Nugent.  There is a broad range of interests and I can't wait to see what they share with us in a few weeks.  Stay tuned.....
